Peco solenoid point motors will sometimes operate without an auxiliary supply, but it depends on track voltage. With a DCS100 on "HO" track voltage setting, we find that Peco "OO" gauge points operate without an aux supply. But only just. Peco "N" gauge points have a stiffer over-centre spring on their tiebar, and are more likely to require an auxiliary supply. SEEP solenoid point motors seem always to need an auxiliary supply.

The simple answer is to try operating the board without an auxiliary supply. If the point motors won't work, then provide one. If you do need one, then any 15-25v DC supply, or 12v-18v AC supply, can be tried. Don't exceed these voltages or damage may occur.
