Setting up the DTM30

You can make a cell generate sensor messages by:

  1. Set cell type = “sensor cell"
  2. Set sensor board address to a number (1-255) that is NOT a real sensor board number on your railway (e.g. a DTM168 or a sensor connected to a DS64
  3. Set “sensor number” to a number that isn’t already used (1-16) on the board number you selected
  4. Set push button A to “sensor message on when pressed”
  5. Set push button B to “sensor message on when pressed”
  6. Program the board as normal

The board is now ready! To see what is happening, open the “message display” window under the “LocoNet debug” menu item, then press buttons A and B. You will see the sensor messages being sent onto LocoNet.

To make TrainController do something

You will need to create a “flagman” that is attached to that sensor. You can then set an action when the flagman is activated. You can get support for that from the Railroad & co website
