Setting up the DTM30
You can make a cell generate sensor messages by:
- Set cell type = “sensor cell"
- Set sensor board address to a number (1-255) that is NOT a real sensor board number on your railway (e.g. a DTM168 or a sensor connected to a DS64
- Set “sensor number” to a number that isn’t already used (1-16) on the board number you selected
- Set push button A to “sensor message on when pressed”
- Set push button B to “sensor message on when pressed”
- Program the board as normal
The board is now ready! To see what is happening, open the “message display” window under the “LocoNet debug” menu item, then press buttons A and B. You will see the sensor messages being sent onto LocoNet.
To make TrainController do something
You will need to create a “flagman” that is attached to that sensor. You can then set an action when the flagman is activated. You can get support for that from the Railroad & co website
